What is this game
PokéBonk (pokebonk.com) is a Pokémon-themed 3D survivor game: control a starter Pokémon, kite hundreds of wild spawns, pick level-up upgrades, catch Pokémon into your League, and clear one zone every 10 minutes by defeating its Guardian.
Account & login
- Guest mode: default Guest tab on the home page, red "Play as guest" button. Saves are bound to the browser's localStorage — clearing cache or switching browsers loses the save.
- Registered account: second tab on the login screen, name + password. Works across devices.
- A Cloudflare Turnstile check may appear; it usually passes silently.
Starting your first run
- Menu → Play → choose your Pokémon (three starters at first) → confirm.
- Choose region (e.g. Verdant Woods / 青翠森林) and difficulty (Normal/Hard/Nightmare) → Start!.
- The 3D scene loads, HUD appears, region banner shows.

Run structure
- Each zone has a 10:00 countdown; at 0 the FINAL SWARM spawns (×6 enemies).
- Main path: level up → find the shrine (prompt "Touch the shrine") → press E to "Awaken the guardian" → defeat it → press E at the portal → next zone. Three zones; a legendary waits after zone 3.
- Level-ups offer a 3-choice card draft (4 with Lab upgrades): move upgrades, vitamins, items/berries, curses.
- Death ends the run (time / defeats / damage / score / move damage share / research).
- Evolution triggers automatically at set levels (~3.6s invulnerable animation + AOE). Starter evolution levels are explicitly in the game data now: 16 → 32/36.
Official advice from the in-game tour (8 steps, quoted)
- Star Dust is the Lab currency: end-of-run rewards (farther = more), boss kills, shiny captures, achievements and quests.
- Upgrades are permanent and apply to all runs; each level costs more than the last.
- The 4th Move Slot and Vitamin Slots are the run-defining upgrades.
- Run tools: Reroll replaces cards, Skip discards them for PokéDollars, Banish removes an option for the rest of the run. Below those: revival, Support Team, Research.
- Not every item starts in the pool: unlock favorites with Star Dust; they then appear in Poké Balls and Meowth's shop.
- Filters show unlockable / owned / archived items.
- The Archive removes unwanted items from runs — focus your build.
- Official beginner route: "Unlock the 4th move first, then split Star Dust between Reroll, Skip and Training."
Common beginner traps
- Press 1/2/3 on the level-up popup, not E.
- "Rhydon's Roar" altar makes the guardian stronger with escorts when pressed — do not press E there.
- Slot machine / shop prompts spend money if you press E; walk away if you don't want to pay.
- Don't refresh the page mid-run: the run is lost.
- Pointer-lock failing twice switches to drag camera — that's normal.
