Alpha Capture and the League
Version: v0.8.18 | Updated: 2026-10-22 | Evidence: 30+ recorded captures across League-unlock Alpha runs
What an Alpha is
50–120 seconds into a run, a challenged wild Pokémon spawns from the "ready" pool (banner: "Wild {name} appeared! Complete the challenge: weaken it and catch it to add it to your League"). It flees after 150 seconds.
Capture flow
- Compass tracking: the on-screen compass points at the target with a live distance readout (interaction works within ~12–19 m in our logs).
- Weaken: bring its HP down (success jumped visibly once the bar went red; exact threshold unverified).
- Throw: get close and press
E. Balls cost PokéDollars (18 ₽ seen in logs). - Success banner "Caught!", +1 Pokédex, the Pokémon joins your League.
Capture economics
- Balls cost money; early on it's balls-vs-chests. The Lab's Trading track adds +8%/level income.
- "Poké Balls 50% off" blessings exist — always take one; it turns your coin flow into captures.
- Meowth's shop and the slot machine also eat coins; captures come first (a catch is a permanent asset, items are run-only).
The League
- The Pokédex holds 151 Kanto Pokémon; progress shows like "74/151".
- The League counts 79 families (menu shows "13/79"). Captures unlock each family's challenge chain.
- Caught bosses can join the Support Team (Lab upgrade expands to 3 slots) and fight alongside you in runs (the Juice Milk item: support boss damage +25%, attack speed +15%).
- The 79 unlock conditions will be extracted from the client's League data — separate article once available.
Measured data
- 30+ successful captures across batches B/C/S/R/X/T: Growlithe, Bulbasaur, Psyduck, Magikarp, Chansey (皮皮), and more.
- Capture window: 150s from the spawn banner; throws at red HP stick far more often (full-HP throws bounced repeatedly in bot logs).
- One Alpha per run (single compass target); the compass disappears after the capture.
Tips
- Don't chase the Alpha in the first 2 minutes — get to Lv6+ first or you can't weaken it before the 150s timer.
- Weaken to red before throwing; it saves balls.
- With a 50%-off blessing, prioritize captures; otherwise keep coins for survival items.
- Check each catch's unlock chain in the League page and plan the next target.
